Real balance

How do I know my real money in the showroom?

Your real balance is the cash box minus everything the showroom owes others: consignors' money, partner shares, customer deposits, sales commissions, and spending that has been requested but not yet paid. AutoSync works it out for you and shows it as soon as you open the app.

A worked example

Example: EGP 1.24 million in the cash box

  • Cash boxEGP 1,240,000
  • Consignment money (customers' cars)EGP −320,000
  • Partner sharesEGP −180,000
  • Deposits not yet settledEGP −127,500
Real balanceEGP 612,500

Of the EGP 1,240,000 in the cash box, only 612,500 is really yours. The rest belongs to other people.

How is the real balance worked out?

  1. 1

    Every money movement is recorded

Sales, collections, expenses and withdrawals are each recorded in the cash box with their date and payment method: cash, bank, InstaPay, wallet or cheque.

  2. 2

Everything you owe adds up on its own

When a consignment car sells, a partner earns a share, a customer pays a deposit, a rep earns a commission, or someone requests spending, the amount is recorded as owed automatically.

  3. 3

Real balance = cash box minus what you owe

It is the first screen the owner and the accountant see. Sales reps and the manager don't see the money screen.

What changes in your day?

Without AutoSync

  • You count the cash box and assume all of it is profit.
  • You withdraw money and later find it was a customer's deposit or a consignor's due.
  • At month end you sit with the accountant sorting out who is owed what.

With AutoSync

  • One number tells you your free money at any moment.
  • Every obligation is visible by name: consignment, partner, deposit, commission, pending expense.
  • Withdrawal and purchase decisions are based on your money, not other people's.

About this feature

Questions about the real balance

What's the difference between the cash box and the real balance?

The cash box is all the money you hold. The real balance is what is left after you take out other people's money: consignment, partner shares, deposits, commissions and requested spending.

Who can see the real balance?

Only the showroom owner and the accountant. The manager and sales reps don't see the money screen.

Do I have to work out what I owe by hand?

No. You record ordinary money movements such as sales, collections and expenses, and the app derives what you owe and the real balance from them.

What does a negative real balance mean?

It means you owe other people more than the cash box holds, so you are spending other people's money. AutoSync shows you this instead of you finding out too late.
